Belles Hot Chicken will be popping up at Welcome to Bowen Hills next month.

100 Burgers Group confirmed the news via email this morning. While dates are yet to be locked in, Belles executive chef Morgan McGlone will be in attendance and if the pop-up proves popular, a permanent Brisbane home for Belle’s will be on the cards.

Belles has been a hit in Melbourne since McGlone and then business partner Aaron Turner opened the Nashville-inspired fried-chicken joint on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy in 2014.

Turner has since been replaced as a partner by Miranda Campbell, but Belles has gone from strength to strength, opening in Richmond and Collins Square in Melbourne, and in Barangaroo and Tramsheds in Sydney.

As the name implies, the Tennessee-style chicken is far spicier than the versions found in American states such as Kentucky. A Belles' bird is also prized for its intense, dry crunch.
