Since opening in 1969, French beauty giant Sephora has garnered a loyal following around the world. Known for its “try before you buy” approach to make-up and perfume, the chain stocks an extensive range of international high-end beauty brands, including Marc Jacobs Beauty, Tarte, Kat Von D, Ouai Haircare, Nudestix, beautyblender, Ole Henriksen, Cover Fx, Anastasia Beverly Hills, HUDA Beauty and its own private label.
Now, it’s headed for Brisbane.
Fans won’t have to wait too long – Sephora will open at Westfield Chermside in April. The new store is a small part of the shopping centre’s $355 million redevelopment. The 414-square-metre store will include access to make-up experts and other paid beauty services.
Sephora has more than 2500 stores worldwide. This will be the eighth Sephora to open in Australia and the second in Queensland. Strangely, the Gold Coast got the nod ahead of us (which led to 700 people lining up on the opening day). Go figure.
Stay tuned for an exact opening date.
