One-Cent Wings at Beerhaüs
It’s not a typo. From Thursday May 13, and every Thursday thereafter, diners at Bowen Hills’ Beerhaüs can get their hands on one-cent chicken wings (with the purchase of a drink) until 7pm. Get them smothered in one of seven sauces – from teriyaki, Texas barbeque and chipotle to “afterburner” – across the spice spectrum. (Note: it's limited to a maximum of 10 wings per drink, which seems like a pretty fair deal to us.)
The venue (until recently, part of the Rockpool Dining Group) has also introduced pop culture-themed trivia nights on Thursdays, so you can fill your belly then test your wits.
The deal’s one of several new specials at the super-sized 40-tap beer house, including $12 schnitzels on Wednesdays and a weekly $20 Sunday roast (featuring German-inspired slow-roast pork belly, thick with golden crackling and served with glazed Dutch carrots, creamy mash, red cabbage, Yorkshire pudding, apple compote and onion gravy). Now flock.
