It never feels like summer until Moonlight Cinema returns, and now the annual pop-up of movies under the stars is back.
This year’s line-up includes a slate of new or recent, highly anticipated releases such as Edgar Wright’s new horror flick Last Night in Soho (starring Anya Taylor-Joy of The Queen’s Gambit fame); Marvel’s Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Eternals; family flicks Encanto, Clifford: The Big Red Dog and Jungle Cruise and more.
There’ll also be nostalgic gems and holiday classics screening throughout December, including The Grinch That Stole Christmas, Love Actually, Die Hard, Dirty Dancing and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone for its 20th anniversary.
There’ll be a Mexican food truck serving nachos and churros, or you can pack a picnic to enjoy on the grass. Order a bottle of Fat Bastard wine or some Byron Bay Lager to go with it – no BYO allowed. It’s also pooch-friendly, with dedicated dog bean beds and treats available to purchase.
Moviegoers can opt for the Gold Grass experience with deluxe bean beds and waiter service to your seat. The pop-up Connoisseur Lounge includes an ice-cream with your ticket, including the brand’s latest collaboration with Koko Black.
All electricity used for screenings is being offset through ecologically sensitive planting, in partnership with Garnier and Carbon Positive Australia. The new plantings will be a biodiverse mix of native trees and shrubs that will match existing plant life in each parkland. There’ll also be an enhanced recycling program on-site and the team is working to remove single-used plastics from its supply chain.
Tickets are on sale now.
