Thu 7th December, 2023 – Sun 14th July, 2024
Queensland Museum
Corner of Grey and Melbourne Streets, South Bank, South Brisbane
Price: $19.90 - $29.90
Get up close and personal with the dinosaurs from the hit movie franchise, in tiny-plastic-brick form.

While a theme park of cloned dinosaurs gone awry is (hopefully) not coming any time soon, Lego master Ryan "The Brickman" McNaught has built large Lego sculptures inspired by the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchises.

McNaught, the only Lego Certified Professional in the southern hemisphere, has built over 50 large-scale dinosaurs out of the tiny bricks, as well as props, scenes and activities – all in all, he used more than 6 million Lego bricks to create the immersive exhibition.

Step through the iconic Jurassic World gates and walk around the island, then visit the labs where dinosaurs are genetically engineered. You can also visit a baby dinosaur enclosure, featuring a life-size Brachiosaurus weighing almost two tonnes.

Visitors can also build their own Lego masterpieces, with activities including island-building, palaeontology, mystery mosaics, species footprint identification and more. To make sure everyone gets enough time with these prehistoric creatures, the Queensland Museum keeping the exhibition open after-hours on certain weekends and holidays.

Tickets to the exhibition cost $29 for adults, $19.90 for children between three and 15 years old, and $27 for concession card holders. Family and group discounts are also available.
