Five-Course Degustation at Deer Duck Bistro
Deer Duck Bistro is an Auchenflower superstar, its reputation built on French and modern Australian fare served in a sumptuously furnished, French Renaissance-inspired Milton Road dining room.
RedBalloon is offering you and a plus one the chance to experience the restaurant over a five-course degustation dinner.
Deer Duck’s locally sourced menu changes with the seasons but you can expect dishes such as charred asparagus with lemon ricotta, confit potatoes, salted rhubarb and orange; lemon risotto with charred and pickled leek, peas, thyme and capers; sous vide duck breast with blue cheese, pear and walnut; and a jaggery meringue with kulfi (traditional Indian ice-cream), pistachio, mango and pineapple.
Alternatively, RedBalloon also offers the same experience with an added vino pairing drawn from Deer Duck’s impressive list of French wines and Australian wines made in a French style. Otherwise, all you need is a willing dinner date and two hours of your time Tuesday to Thursday. Just be aware that there’s limited availability, so try to book well ahead.
