Australia’s biggest curated design market, Finders Keepers, is taking over the Alexandria Gardens at Brisbane Showgrounds for a new summer series of pop-up events – and the first is arriving just in time to do some Christmas shopping.
The market handpicks independent artists, designers and entrepreneurs from across the country to showcase and sell their wares, including ceramics, furniture, plants, candles and accessories. For the first time ever, this season’s market features more than 90 per cent Queensland-based makers in an ultra-local line-up.
Creatives presenting their products include artist and pattern maker Claire Ritchie (who also designed the series poster with her signature florals), illustrator Costanza G and designer Heidi Lou, alongside sustainable fashion labels Ukiyo Boutique, Oddish and Ossom, which will showcase pieces hand-printed by Aboriginal artists.
Plus, there’ll be plenty of food and drinks vendors to sustain you throughout the day, and enough green space for an impromptu picnic in the sun.
From 9am to 4pm. Entry is free.
