Charlotte Ree’s Heartbake Bites Supper Club Comes to The Lex at W Brisbane
For one night only, cook and author Charlotte Ree will bring her Heartbake Bites Supper Club to Brisbane. Ree’s book Heartbake: A Bittersweet Memoir pairs recipes with self-reflection. Ree also hosts supper clubs that celebrate the healing power of food.
This event, in collaboration with W Brisbane’s New York-inspired grill The Lex, will feature a menu by Ree and chef John Kennedy. The communal-style dinner aims to bring guests together to share a meal and conversations.
When you arrive you’ll be greeted with a Martini before settling in for round after round of comfort food. The night begins with warm focaccia. Then a serve of Ree’s signature ricotta and pesto ravioli in brown butter sage sauce. For main’s there’s a choice of a rib eye steak with pepper sauce (a Lex classic) or Ree’s spinach pie. To finish there’s a slice of Ree’s burnt Basque cheesecake, immortalised in a Food for Everything poster.
