Bacchus might be known for its brilliant fine dining but the South Brisbane restaurant also peddles one of the very best high tea experiences in Brisbane. Or did, at least, until Covid-19 crashed the party.
Now, though, you can take the good times with you with Bacchus’s Quintessential High Tea at Home pack. The menu includes savoury creations such as smoked salmon and dill crème fraîche on tomato bread, black brioche with chicken and celery, and sweets such as poppy seed and orange cake with lavender syrup, pistachio and raspberry delight, and Earl Grey pear and caramel slice. And of course, high tea wouldn’t be high tea without freshly baked scones served with Bonne Maman raspberry jam and Chantilly cream.
As for the tea itself, the takeaway pack comes with a selection of three Harney & Sons varieties to round out the experience. The price is $30 per person with orders needing to be made by 5pm Wednesday for pick-up the following Saturday or Sunday between 10am and 12pm.
