The Peroni Aperitivo Experience comes to Brisbane
The Italian tradition of afternoon grazing and drinking comes to Brisbane with Italian beer brand Peroni curating aperitivo specials to savour.
Peroni has hand-picked a selection of venues in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in which to curate a long and leisurely aperitivo experience. Take a seat amongst the blue ribbon installation with a crisp beer, paired perfectly with grazing plates that factor squarely into the relaxed, pre-dinner tradition.
In Brisbane, there are three venues taking part.
Riverside favourite Riverbar is serving a trio of dishes, each at a special price that includes a Peroni Nastro Azzurro lager. There’s kingfish ceviche with citrus and pink peppercorn ($18); mushroom arancini with tomato relish ($16); and prosciutto, melon, tomato and bocconcini skewers ($14).
In New Farm, the QA Hotel is serving two schooners of Nastro Azzurro and two aperitivo eats for $40. On the menu there’s Italian herb-crumbed mozzarella sticks, smoky bacon and cheese arancini balls, ginger and prawn wontons, duck spring rolls, mac’n’cheese bites, and crumbed risotto and cheese jalapeño poppers.
In Red Hill, the iconic Normanby Hotel is offering a schooner of Nastro Azzurro with one aperitivo for $15. For food you can choose from mozzarella sticks with confit cherry tomato sauce, Italian meatballs with roasted capsicum jam, and porcini and truffle arancini with truffle aioli.
