BrisAsia Festival returns next month with its usual dose of cosplay parades, fashion shows, live local music and K-pop dance crews. Also, a rooftop screening of Studio Ghibli’s enormously popular 2013 feature The Tale of The Princess Kaguya.

The film is playing as part of the festival’s February 24 Lunar New Year Rooftop Party at Sunnybank Plaza. Taking over the top level of the centre’s carpark, the event will also feature a street market and Asian art gallery, a lantern workshop and a games den. After the film, the event will finish with a fireworks display.

The party starts at 4pm, with the film screening kicking off once the sun goes down. It’s free, so best get there early.

BrisAsia Festival 2018 runs February 10 to March 4 at various locations throughout Brisbane. More information here.
