Seventeen years after the first film was released, The Fast and the Furious franchise is up to eight instalments, with a ninth spin-off film, Hobbs and Shaw, due next year.
Well, if you’re behind and need catching up, Yatala Drive-In is doing you a solid, showing four of the films back-to-back this Saturday night. For those counting along at home, that’s approximately 500 minutes of over-the-top stunts, under-developed dialogue and gratuitous car porn.
But which films? The marathon kicks off with the original The Fast and The Furious before moving right ahead to 2011’s Fast Five, 2013’s Fast & Furious 6 and then 2015’s Furious 7.
So pack some mates into the Mirage, fire up the neons and wheelie your way down the M1. Tickets are $69 per carload. The films kick off at 7pm and the on-site diner will be open until midnight.
