The Dog Lovers Show is returning for 2018, taking over the Royal International Convention Centre at Brisbane Showgrounds for two days of dog tips, dog parades, dog displays and, well, just lots and lots of dogs.

This year the Brisbane show will present more than 400 hounds of all shapes and sizes across more than 100 breeds, with a heap of reputable breeders in attendance to talk about temperament, grooming routines, exercise and nutrition requirements for all those very good boys and girls.

In 2018 the Dog Lovers Show will also host its first ever Common Woof Games, which will run throughout the show’s two days. Canines will compete in high jump, discus, basketball, soccer and many other events. The outdoor forecourt will play host to the pool and aquatic divisions of the games, with pooches taking part in various big air, rapid relay, speed retrieve, extreme vertical and duelling dogs water-based events.

The 2018 event includes appearances from Doctor Harry Cooper, Doctor Katrina Warren and Kelly Gill, and Doctor Carla Paszkowski and Doctor Teagan Lever from the Pet Circle vet team.

Other attractions include the Brisbane Insta-Pooch Zone, where you can pat and take selfies with some of the city’s most Insta-famous pups; and yes, over 30 shelters are returning with doggos ready for adoption.

The Dog Lovers Show moves into the Royal International Convention Centre at Brisbane Showgrounds Saturday and Sunday November 3 and 4. Tickets here.
