Blow up your pool toys and grab your swim trunks. Slideapalooza is coming to Brisbane, the company showcasing its enviable collection of waterslides over one giddy weekend in November.
Adam McDonald, CEO of Fun Events and creator of Slideapalooza, says the event will feature four different slides, including a giant 400-metre version, which the company says is the largest inflatable slide in the world. “We’re all about having a good time,” McDonald says. “There are not many people who don’t like a waterslide.”
The Slideapalooza event will be raising funds for its charity partner, Tour De Cure, which already runs numerous cycling events around the country in aid of cancer research.
While McDonald and his team are yet to settle on a location for the Brisbane event, three of the slides will be open to both adults and kids. A separate three-lane slide will be reserved for kids aged 7–10.
There will also be a water-balloon battle, a kids’ obstacle course, a bar, live music and a sunscreen station. And yes, you can hire an inflatable. “Or sliders can bring their own,” McDonald says. “So you can go that little bit faster.”
Slideapalooza arrives in Brisbane on November 18. Follow the company’s Facebook page for information on upcoming ticket releases.
