Features
Three Mile Scrub – that’s the name of the house blend at The Tiller, and it also used to be the name of the area. It’s a good indication of how The Tiller operates, tipping its cap to history.
The huge, burnt orange shipping container that now houses this little operation and the railway sleepers that decorate the bar were both saved and brought back to life. Just like you will be after a soothing cup of Three Mile Scrub.
The menu is limited to croissants and toast, plus bagels from The Bagel Boys with interesting fillings such as grilled plum, serrano, mint, yoghurt or sweet dukkah. But despite the simplicity, everything on offer feels selected with care.
There’s coffee from Parallel (as well as a bunch of guests), hot chocolate from Melbourne cacao specialists Mörk, tea from fine food purveyors Somage and bread from Crust & Co. This is a place where you’re looked after.
