This beautifully conceived cafe on Park Terrace is a testament to the power of good branding. With the help of local interior design firm We Are Mercury, the space has been decked out with an understated colour scheme of cream, turquoise and grey. As well as banquette seating inside, there's a long breakfast bar looking out to the street through bi-fold windows. Enormous al fresco picnic tables on the footpath cater for large groups.
In the kitchen, the menu elevates the standard Aussie brunch with big hits of Asian flavour. There’s a Yum Cha-inspired prawn toast, topped with a seasoned fried egg and a sweet-and-sour dressing; and a folded omelette served on a bed of jasmine rice with bean sprouts, ginger dressing and fresh herbs. For something sweet, there are Wholly Crumpets with yuzu curd, praline coconut cream and meringue.
The food is helped down by a Five Senses blend and rotating single origin for espresso coffee, alongside a daily filter brew. Elsewhere, there are smoothies, Hrvst St juices and Heirloom hot chocolate.
