Features
Pearl lends a touch of class to your drinking and dining adventures. The elegant little eatery has been serving top-class seasonal fare and baked goods since 2007, when former owner Dan Lewis decided to bring classic European vibes to Woolloongabba’s antique shopping precinct. Lewis has since handed the reins to Kiwi expat Manita Arnold, but the winning formula remains much the same.
Exposed brick walls and antique-style furnishings give Pearl a Parisian bistro feel. Dishes are inventive and nostalgic, but with a refined twist – char sui pork toasties with eggs for breakfast, an eggplant chickpea tagine for lunch or handmade kumura gnocchi for dinner. The globe-travelling seasonal drinks menu offers an impressive range of wine, beer and aperitifs.
For a more intimate dining experience, book The Servery upstairs, a kitchen and bar that feels like a secret club: watch the staff prep food as you enjoy drinks over cheese and charcuterie platters.
