Just say it: “I’m going to My Mistress”. Thankfully there’s nothing illicit about visiting this classy Clayfield cafe, which offers a cosy retreat from the rush of Sandgate Road with a menu that appeals to your wit as much as your appetite.
Owners Natalie Vostok and Rhiannon Redmond wanted to create a rustic space with a sophisticated edge – and a sense of humour. As the owner of She Bangs Coffee in Albion, Redmond hit on the name My Mistress with Vostok and they knew they’d found the cheeky twist they’d been looking for: She Bangs My Mistress.
What’s in a name? All-day breakfast creations include Eggs Marilyn (fried eggs on rye with ham, spinach and hollandaise), Sweet Thang (French toast with bacon) and Morning Glory (an egg and bacon bagel).
Bring your meal to a climax with creamy Genovese coffee or moreish banana bread. My Mistress knows how to show you a good time – and it’s more than just a fling.
