Chapter IV
The interior of Chapter IV looks exactly like the Queensland worker’s cottage of your dreams: high ceilings, hardwood floors, and a veranda that wraps right around the back of the building that makes for a refreshingly homey space (tip: the best seats in the house are on the back balcony, with views over the whole of Brisbane).
Chapter IV is the fourth restaurant that owner Allysa Phadungkiat has opened in Brisbane (see what she did there?), and it’s clear she’s gone to great lengths to make the place welcoming to everyone, including families. There’s a large, fenced-off play area towards the back of the restaurant, and come the weekend, strollers and bassinets are par for the course.
The menu is simple and features classic all-day breakfast options; roasted field mushrooms with Danish feta; maple waffles with fresh berries; and a collection sandwiches.
Finish your meal with a Campos coffee, or one of the house-baked sweets in the counter cabinet. Dinner is served Wednesday to Saturday.
