When Blackstar opened back in 2007, it was the first place in Brisbane to offer cold brew coffee. It also pioneered 100 per cent organic, Fair-trade coffee. It’s clear: coffee is king here.

The cafe offers seasonal single-origin beans, its classic Revolution blend, as well as other experimental blends from time to time. If there’s a brew method you’re particularly into, chances are Blackstar is all over it, including V60, Aeropress and good old espresso.

Of course, and all the gear can be purchased in store too, along with the famous beans. Breakfast and lunch menus are short, but feature all the classics executed well.
