Opportunity to sip on some Parallel Roasters in Brisbane is hardly limited. Since opening its Sumner roastery in 2016 the slick, approachable coffee brand has popped up at a bunch of specialty spots across the city.

But in May 2018 Parallel owner Ben Graham opened a flagship cafe and retail space in Albion.

Parallel Roasters always had a small stake in the premises previously occupied by Camp, but this change in management handed Graham the opportunity to take it over completely. There’s a navy colour scheme, bench seating and fixtures by Talty Sargent.

The cafe serves simple, seasonal food with a couple of vegan dishes. Really, though, this is very much about the coffee; the full range of coffees is always available to take home and as many as possible are on the bar. There are always two filter coffees on batch brew, two espresso options and a filter pour-over.

Parallel also hosts events such as talks and cupping (tasting) events in the venue.
