The trio who revitalised Aldinga’s Silver Sands Beach Club have done the same to the Old Bush Inn. The 185-year-old watering hole has long been dubbed “The Top Pub” for its position at the top of High Street, and – besides a menu rejig – its country charm remains squarely intact.
Chef and co-owner Stefano Longhi (also behind the Silver Sands kitchen) keeps the bistro menu classic, with a few northern Italian additions. You might find eggplant parmigiana and the occasional porchetta, alongside old-school pot pies and a chicken caesar salad with buttermilk dressing. As with the food, drinks cater to rusted-on barflies and city slickers alike. Find local brews on tap and a neat one-page wine list, leaning on local producers.
