Virgin Australia Launches Direct Flights Between Adelaide and Hobart

Virgin Australia will commence direct flights between Hobart and Adelaide for the first time this spring.
The new route will launch on October 22 and operate four services per week (on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). The flights went on sale today with one-way economy sale fares starting at $49. (The sale is available until midnight Sunday September 26 or until sold out.)
The announcement follows the new direct route between Launceston and Adelaide, which launched earlier this month. That route will operate three services per week (on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday).
Until now, Virgin customers travelling between Adelaide and Hobart or Launceston have had to stop over in the eastern states.
Qantas and Jetstar already offer direct flights between Adelaide and Hobart, but Virgin is now the only airline to offer direct flights to both Tasmanian cities.
Wondering how to make the most of this good fortune? We've already done the work for you.
