A third round of vouchers will being given away by the South Australian government to help the state’s struggling tourism sector bounce back after a pandemic-induced drop in visitation.
The Great State Experiences Voucher scheme will offer $50, $100 and $200 vouchers to locals (and a small number of interstate visitors) for use on participating tours and experiences across South Australia. Around 500 operators are expected to register experiences such as shark-cage diving, swimming with sealions, helicopter and mountain bike tours, guided food and wine trails, hosted wildlife experiences and more.
The vouchers will be available to claim in late April, for travel over the cooler months – and bookable seven days a week including Saturdays and over the July school holidays – in an effort to boost the state’s traditionally quieter winter period.
Details about when and how to obtain a voucher will be available soon, following the completion of an Expressions of Interest for operators to participate. More information here.
