Each morning at Red Cacao, staff carefully position gourmet truffles with white-gloved hands. Steam rises as locally roasted beans become coffees perfectly matched to the various treats. Behind it all, a master chocolatier pours, scrapes and moulds new treats with artful precision.

The venue will make you totally rethink chocolate. There’s no overly milky or super-sweetened supermarket stuff here. Instead, Red Cacao provides one of the richest, purest cacao experiences you’ll find in the Adelaide area.

Owner Marcus Booth-Remmers’ love of desserts began at an early age and since then his life’s work has been treating people. Visitors are guided through chocolate and coffee pairings and even given a complimentary sample of chocolate with their water.

If you come in often enough, Booth-Remmers and his team will start to customise your experience. Everyone has a different taste, and every single-origin chocolate has a unique flavour profile.

If darker chocolates aren’t your thing, pick from locally made cakes, macarons, gourmet truffles and artisan block chocolates.
