Features
Urban Cow has been at the heart of Adelaide’s East End culture for more than two decades. Even a 2017 relocation from the original Frome Street site couldn't change that. Owner Mick Krieg has managed to maintain the gritty, DIY-arts vibe of ‘90s Rundle Street within the Urban Cow complex, even as the stores around turn to high-fashion and contemporary glamour.
That’s not to say that Urban Cow doesn’t provide glamour in its own way. It’s just a little more lively. Inside the main store you’ll find a selection of locally made jewellery, creative ceramics, textiles and artworks to bring chaotic colour into any life. It’s one the best gift-shops you’ll ever visit.
Attached to Urban Cow is The Howling Owl, Krieg's cafe and gin bar.
