Tinker started life in Colonel Light Gardens before moving to Duthy Street in 2017. The shop is home to preloved furniture, homewares and clothing, and goods by local artists and makers.

Owner Rosie Kruckemeyer spends her time searching for forgotten bits all over Adelaide. She cleans and restores the pieces she finds in sheds and antique stores.

New pieces are by local makers such as Nadika Jewellery, White Soaps, Bush Organics honey, and many more. Kruckemeyer makes the shop’s macrame necklaces herself, and her eldest daughter the gorgeous lavender bags.

Tinker shares the space with Nettle & Knead bakery. Enjoy coffee next door, then take your time to browse for something old or new and chat with Kruckemeyer. The walls are dotted with plants and wicker baskets; French music plays softly in the background; and candles burn on the counter. The atmosphere is calm and inviting.
