Features
Leonard St. is an eclectic womenswear line by Melbourne designer Amanda McCarthy. The brand’s forte is rich colours and whimsical prints, often reminiscent of illustrated storybooks. From a flutter of delicate cranes on a blouse, to a cascading line of bright pink octopuses on a sundress, McCarthy’s originally designed prints can range from the subtle to the statement.
While the prints are nostalgic, the cuts are contemporary. In addition to the statement pieces you’ll find a range of unadorned separates (a structured cotton pant, crepe button down) that make up the building block of every wardrobe.
McCarthy started Leonard St. in 2004, and now has three stores across Melbourne, and one in Adelaide. The brand includes a range of accessories, (including socks, hats and leather bags), a small range of shoes, and a line of children’s clothing.
