Features
Unfortunately, there is no Charlie. Named in homage to their first location on Charles Street, the lady behind this giftware store decided to keep the title, much to customers' ongoing intrigue. Owner Lauren Harper (Mintcloud) keep the store filled with delights.
The shop focuses on independent businesses, most of which produce handcrafted goods. The diverse range includes Wes Anderson-style art prints, perfumes, cheerful succulents in cement pots, and one-off repurposed vintage clothing items.
When Harper and friend Bec Platt (who's gone now) started the shop in 2014, they simply wanted to provide a retail space for brands often only seen at markets. It's a concept that's proven successful and Charlie has grown to feature around 70 labels.
With products arriving weekly from Frock Me Out, Ettie Ink, Maypole Design, Berkley Illustration and many more, it's a valuable resource for thoughtful gifts, or a little treat for yourself.
