A name can define a place, but in this case the place defines the name. Created Range – an anagram of its premises, Regent Arcade – provides an outlet for local independent brands. Locally designed wears sit alongside screen-printed posters, one-of-a-kind reclaimed wooden skateboards and a rotating exhibition wall that gives energy to the space.

Founded by artist and clothing designer Dave Court, the store fits somewhere between streetwear and skatewear, with a street art culture focus. This is the only stockist for many of the brands and provides that essential tactile experience of a physical store, something that’s difficult for most young designers to offer.

Having launched in 2014 with a just seven select brands, it has gradually expanded as more Adelaide based labels emerge and a few Melbourne brands join the ranks. There’s clothing from the likes of Unempire, Size Seven Clothing, Alusive Culture and Restless Socks.

Court spends his time in store designing for his own label, foolsandtrolls, on the large wooden desk that acts as counter. His days are punctuated with mates and suppliers dropping in to hang.
