RoccoPizza
Rocco DeAngelis thinks that take-away pizza joints have given the staple a bad name and a fast-food reputation. At RoccoPizza, he’s trying to make pizzas healthy. Well, as healthy as a pizza could be.
Roccopizza draws inspiration from the Mediterranean diet. The pizzas are made using locally sourced produce from South Australia, alongside harder to find ingredients brought in from Italy. There’s the usual array of classic toppings on offer here, and greens feature prominently. Just don’t ask for pineapple.
Inside, the low-fuss dining room is sparse, and the open kitchen gives you a view of your pizza while it gets made. Staff are friendly, there’s no corkage on BYO, and there’s a strict no cutlery rule.
