Miss Perez Kitchen and Bar
Two generations ago, a shipwrecked Spanish merchant met the love of his life on the Tokelau islands. Their adventurous son married the daughter of a Samoan chief, and later brought Mary, the original Miss Perez, into the world.
Now, her daughter Rebecca Zahra and husband Che celebrate her life of exotic influence and adventure at Miss Perez Kitchen & Bar, which opened its doors in late 2013.
The menu draws on cuisines from Latin America, Spain and Australia, with all the panache of the original Miss Perez’s Samoan hospitality. Alongside shared plates and more substantial options, there’s a range of burgers – the most notable being the Perez Burger. It packs Noske’s grass-fed beef from Hahndorf with crispy bacon, caramelised onion, cheese and secret sauce. Sweet bites such as churros round out the offering.
To drink, there’s Dimattina coffee, Adelaide Hills wine and local beers. But we recommend you get in the spirit with a tequila tasting flight or one of the Spanish-inspired cocktails.
Floor-to-ceiling windows grant stunning views of Stirling’s iconic oak trees, or you can sit beneath them on the outside deck. Larger groups can gather at the long tables inside, while two smaller rooms provide private nooks for smaller functions and gatherings.
