At Barry’s Burgers, the goal is to serve fast, fresh food that leaves you feeling good. So say Alinta Ratnaike and Caitlin Mutton, the young owners behind the venue.
After working together at nearby Royal Copenhagen, they saw opportunity in the vacant shopfront and joined forces to create the vibrant beachside hangout in late 2015. The atmosphere is casual, with service at the counter and seating available at high stools inside and out.
The kitchen uses local ingredients delivered daily, and you can taste the difference. Saint Meat provides the preservative-free grass-fed beef and hormone-free chicken breast; and crispy sesame-seed buns come fresh from the ovens of Jam and Sugar Bakery each morning. Riviera Bakery ensures a supply of fresh gluten-free buns.
Nine burgers grace the menu alongside crispy fries, salads and desserts. King of the range is The Baz Deluxe, featuring a handmade beef patty and crispy bacon balanced out by sweet onion jam. The popular Veggie#2 packs portobello mushroom, beetroot, and roast pumpkin offset by a tangy goats curd. All the patties are made in-house daily and never frozen.
The range can be enjoyed eat-in or at the foreshore nearby. We recommend the former – that way you can enjoy a beer or cider with your burger.
