Features
When Grace the Establishment became Stone’s Throw in September 2016, it took the CBD’s culinary landscape and small-bar culture, and mixed it with the suburban convenience of The Parade. This local watering hole has a 200-person capacity, a full-stocked front bar, sunny atrium and beer garden.
The menu relies on what’s available from small-batch producers on the Fleurieu Peninsula and in Virginia. Dishes are sustainably sourced where possible and aren’t protein-heavy (without tending towards vegetarian). For an all-bases-covered experience, the shared tasting menu is $65 per person.
Like the food, the wine list isn’t set in stone. But it reliably highlights South Australian bottles and reflects the trend toward natural winemaking. All of the wines are food-friendly, with no high-alcohol or overly oaky varieties. VHS Wines’ pinot noir is available on tap. Cocktails are shaken with syrups from the kitchen.
