Bring in the New Year with a “Hootenanny” at The Henry Austin. You’ll get a feast of food and a glass of bubbles on arrival for $100, or let Max Mason and the team take care of dinner and drinks for $150. They’ll pair their finest wines alongside their favourite dishes from 2016.

Hilton Adelaide
The Hilton Adelaide is preparing a massive spread for New Year’s Eve. Start off with artisan bread, then crack open a delectable southern rock lobster. If you get all the way through the six courses, a citrus meringue awaits you at dessert.

Botanic Gardens Restaurant
A five-course menu designed by head chef Paul Baker awaits you in the beautiful setting of the Botanic Gardens. There’s canapés and champagne upon arrival before a dinner matched with premium wines.

The Gallery
Enter 2017 from up high, with a great view at The Gallery rooftop bar. For 130 bucks, your ticket gets you a beer, wine, soft drink and spirits package, canapés served until midnight and an evening of entertainment from DJ Cloak Dagger.

The Sailing Club
Sam Worrall-Thompson (head chef and co-owner at Jack Ruby) will bring some of SA’s best eateries, winemakers and brewers to Harbour Masters Reserve from December 30 to January 1. If you want to keep partying after the big night, there’s a Gin Party on New Year’s Day.

New York-inspired venue BRKLYN is planning to go out with a bang before the year of the Trump begins. Celebrate the “end of the world” with good vibes and Mexican eats and drinks (think nachos, tacos, Patron tequila and sangria). No booking necessary, just rock up and shake the blues away.

Mr Goodbar
Another free event to head along to, featuring prosecco, pilsners and spiced rum. DJs Jorge Watts, Ezee G and Goran will see you through the night with funk and house jams. Also: it’ll be happy hour until 2017!

Drop an anchor at Hains & Co on New Year’s Eve and celebrate the end of 2016 with “The Admiral” Marcus Motteram and his merry crew. For only $20, you’ll have your spirits lifted with cocktails, gin, rum and tunes from bluesman Cal Williams Jr.
