Uber launches its food-delivery service UberEATS in Adelaide today.

More than 60 local restaurants are on board, including Osteria Oggi, Press, Etica, Bread & Bone and Burger Theory. Chef Jock Zonfrillo has also signed on with Blackwood and Nonna Mallozzi.

“Gone are the days of home delivery only being Chinese, Thai or pizza,” Zonfrillo says. “UberEATS launching here in Adelaide is going to get delicious food into more homes, every day – it's great for customers and great for Adelaide businesses too.”

The app, which also launches in Perth and Brisbane today, was rolled out in Melbourne and Sydney earlier this year. It joins existing food delivery services such as Menulog and local operation Mlkman.

The service is available to Adelaide’s inner suburbs (“From Mile End to Kensington Park, Collinswood to Hyde Park and everywhere in between”) from 10am to 10pm every day. Delivery will be free for a limited time.
