It was only a matter of time before Australia’s brunch culture pushed through to the twilight hours. This weekend the Sunny's Pizza gang will team up with Whistle & Flute chef Stewart Wesson for a dinner with a difference.

Sunny's Side Up will offer breakfast food only, on a Sunday night, because time is meaningless and sleep-ins are great. The collaborative menu will feature breakfast pizzas – smashed avo, a big breakfast, blue swimmer crab – alongside sausage and egg muffins, and beans on toast. Dessert is the panna cotta of your childhood dreams – it’s made with cereal milk and topped with candied cornflakes and fruit loops. Bloody Marys, cappuccino Martinis and Screwdrivers (vodka and orange juice) will be flowing, too.

Now you get to enjoy the most important meal of the day, at a decent hour. But arrive early, we’re betting these seats will fill quickly.

Sunny’s Side Up is on Sunday September 10 from 5pm at Sunny’s Pizza. Melbourne DJ Cazeaux O.S.L.O will be spinning tunes until late.
