Arkhe and Friends – Arkhe’s chef collaboration series – launched in April 2024. Since then it has brought acclaimed local and international chefs to Jake Kellie’s Norwood diner.
It kicked off with teams from Sydney’s Porteno, Ante and Ester, and Rosheen Kaul, formerly of Melbourne’s Etta.
The second half of the series involves four dinners paired with Laphroaig cocktails.
Dan Hong brings his bold Cantonese cuisine to SA. Hong is executive chef at Sydney diners including Mr Wong and host of SBS’s The Streets of Hong Kong. He will come to Arkhe in September.
In October it’s James Lowe. The chef has Michelin-cred from his own London restaurant Lyle’s and trained at La Trompette and the Heston Blumenthal’s three-starred Fat Duck. He’s known for showcasing seasonality and the finer points of British dining.
In November Arkhe will host Will Goldfarb. Named the best pastry chef in the World’s 50 Best awards 2021, Goldfarb creates avant-garde desserts. He founded Room 4 Dessert in New York before moving his operation to Bali where it’s still based.
Rounding out the year is Ben Williamson of Agnes. Like Arkhe, Williamson’s Nigella-approved restaurant is known for its woodfire-fuelled menu, making the pair the perfect match for the final collaborative dinner of 2024.
