Aman Takhar and Jason Cross know a thing or two about modern conveniences. The pair developed and ran food-delivery app Mlkman – before multinationals UberEats and Deliveroo snuffed it out of the market.
They’ve since launched Bianca, a designed-for-delivery pizza service developed to combat the pitfalls of those third-party delivery apps. But they haven’t stopped there. Takhar wants to provide “a complete experience” for users.
From today, you can pair Bianca’s Neapolitan- and Sicilian-style pies with an imported Italian beer or vino. Choose from Peroni’s red lager, a choice of two reds or a cerasuolo d’ abruzzo (a DOC rosé). Add a side of cheesy garlic bread and that’s Friday night sorted (as long as you live within a six-kilometre radius of the CBD).
On delivery, drivers will check users’ IDs to verify their age. The drinks won’t be delivered to anyone else and won’t be left unattended.
Takhar and Cross are currently scouting for local wines to add to the list. We’re sure it’s not long before an Adelaide Hills white joins the ranks.
Bianca is available to download via the App Store.
