Features
Taking its name from the Italian American slang for cured pork neck, Gabagool is all about generously stacked, unapologetic American-style subs.
The Grange Road sandwich spot’s menu may be succinct, but it doesn’t skimp on quality or quantity. Its standout is the Philly Cheesesteak made with premium-grade Scotch fillet that’s dry-rubbed and hand-sliced every morning. There’s also the Italian, a layered sub with mortadella, salami, prosciutto and capocollo; the pork and veal meatball sub with vodka sauce; and the brekkie sub with fried eggs, crispy pancetta and provolone.
To drink, there’s coffee from local roasters Blk Mrkt, organic cold-pressed juice from Juice Quest and soft drinks. Pastries are sourced from Fold, with cinnamon scrolls from Theropy Sourdough.
