Beauty giant Mecca launches its 100th store today in Rundle Mall. The 400 square-metre retail space combines the offering of Mecca Cosmetica and Mecca Maxima concepts with more than 100 skincare and make-up brands.

The Aussie-grown empire is known for stocking cult beauty brands – including several Mecca exclusives – such as Urban Decay, NARS, Drunk Elephant and Hourglass, and recently added Zoë Foster Blake’s Go-To skincare products to its line-up.

The new Adelaide store houses a dedicated area for skincare consultations and treatments; eight makeup stations; a “Mecca Perfumeria” featuring brands such as Byredo, Diptyque, Frederic Malle and 100 Bon; and a Beauty Lab for customers to experiment with products and learn new application techniques. There will also be dedicated fragrance, skin and colour specialists on hand to help you with your decision.

To celebrate the opening, there’ll be free drinks in the morning and beauty products will be given out all day. Complimentary fragrance and foundation-matching consultations will help you pick the right product for you. If you spend $85 you’ll score a gift from the “Mecca Carousel”, with a total prize pool of more than $49,000. Plus, the first 100 people in line will get a wristband entitling them to an Urban Decay Naked Reloaded palette, redeemable with any purchase on the day.

Mecca Rundle Mall opens at 9am at 43 Rundle Mall, Adelaide.
