OzAsia's Lucky Dumpling Market 2020
While you-know-what has rendered OzAsia a virtual event this year, its food hub Lucky Dumpling Market will go ahead as the festival's only physical event.
The hawker-style food market, led by the team behind long-running Fringe hub Gluttony, will move to a new, larger location at Elder Park to ensure social distancing.
You can expect the same street-food favourites as previous years – barbeque, bao, noodles, curries and stacks of dumplings across a range of cuisines. The 17 stalls include Chef Kim, Fire by Soi 38, Forage Supply Co, Gang Gang, Ragi’s Spicery, Shibui Dessert Bar, The Filipino Project and Toly Gourmet. There’ll also be three bars situated throughout the park, serving Yalumba wine, Coopers beer and sake.
Covid Safe measures for the markets include card-only purchasing, contact tracing records, hand sanitising stations, frequent sanitising of communal touch-points and queueing management.
Lucky Dumpling Market is open Tuesday to Friday from 4.30pm until late and Saturday and Sunday from midday until late (closed Mondays).
