The Maker & Me 2023 Spring Series at Alt Wine Bar
The Fruitful Pursuit has been connecting winemakers and oenophiles since 2017 at its inaugural The Maker & Me event. The series has returned in 2023, inviting wine lovers to a series of intimate discussions with local winemakers. Each of the nine sessions will feature a different winemaker guiding a group of 22 guests through two hours of wine tasting at Hyde Park’s Alt Wine Bar.
The series kicked off with South Australian winemakers Scintilla and The Mysterious Mr Black. September sessions will feature Ravensworth, a country winery not too far from the ACT, and a unique session known as The Importer and Me – focusing on barolo, barbaresco and other drops from the Piemonte region of Italy – which will be hosted by Tyler Grace Austin of David Ridge Wines.
October sessions highlight two Victorian wineries, Vignerons Schmölzer & Brown and Charles Oliver, and two South Australian makers, Whisson Lake and Vanguardist.
Each session features tastings of eight to 10 wines and, of course, a snack.
