An Idyllic Private Tasting With Award-Winning SA Wines
Since launching in 2014, Koerner Wine has won a string of awards for its minimal-intervention drops. Now brothers Jono and Damon Koerner are hosting tastings of their entire range, plus a tour of their sun-dappled Clare Valley vineyard.
The tasting runs through both conventional varieties more commonly associated with the Clare Valley area, and less represented grapes like vermentino, sangiovese and sciaccarello. As well as learning about the family’s long history with grape growing, you can choose experiences showcasing several sides of the brothers’ skills.
A tasting at the Koerner family Gullyview vineyard is only $20 a head, redeemable on the purchase of six bottles or more (per person). The Koerner cellar door at Mintaro’s Magpie & Stump Hotel is also open through October and November. For the same price, you can choose to experience the winery’s full operation among the apple orchards at Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills.
