Now, the restaurant inside the historical hotel is hosting a follow-up series, Families in Wine, which will focus on South Australia’s winemaking families.
Each of the modern-Asian share-plate meals will be paired with wines from a different winery and be followed by an informal Q&A session with members of the family behind it.
Week one, on August 28, dubbed “the in-laws dinner”, will feature wines by Barossa Valley’s Chaffey Bros Wine Co while “The intergenerational dinner” on September 18 will feature Sew & Sew Wines.
On October 23, “the siblings dinner” will be served with Dune Wines from McLaren Vale and The Mysterious Mr Black form the Barossa Valley. “The couples dinner” on November 20 will feature CRFT Wine, and a dinner on December 4 will feature Unico Zelo and Mylkappa Wines – all three wineries are in the Adelaide Hills.
Tickets are $89 a head and include food and wine.
