After a sold-out 2020 season, Dream Boat will again drop anchor in the Karrawirra Parri/River Torrens during the Fringe.
The boat party, aboard Adelaide’s iconic heritage riverboat the Popeye, is the latest venture from music and events collective Endless Grooves (Utopian State, Inner City Oasis), which has curated a huge line-up of local DJs including Mehdi, Jura Soundsystem, Kane Banner, Felicity, Nan, Sidwho?, Funk Bros, Mark Kamleh, Jordy J and Fantastic Black Plastic (aka Endless Grooves director Nick Gencarelli).
Guests will embark from the Elder Park landing before a sunset cruise along the river fuelled by drinks from Nepenthe, Dunes & Greene, Pikes Beer, Prohibition Gin and Spring Seed Wines, plus natural wines from Loc Bottle Shop.
With current Covid restrictions, the boat’s capacity has halved from 40 to 20 (the reduced income has been supplemented by an Adelaide Fringe Covid Support Grant) but Gencarelli confirms dancing is on the table.
Dream Boat runs every Friday night throughout the Fringe with sessions from 5.30pm to 7pm and 8pm to 9.30pm. Tickets are limited and available online.
