RCC’s outdoor food precinct returns to the University of Adelaide, with Nashville-style hot chicken, fire-licked dishes by Soi 38, Saudade Portuguese tarts and more.

To go along with this year’s stacked line-up of international and local arts and music acts, RCC is bringing a just-as-impressive group of food vendors together for Chow Town – its outdoor food precinct spread across the university's Cloisters area.

Leading the line-up is Pulteney Street’s Sukhumvit Soi 38, one of Adelaide’s best Thai joints, which will serve Thai street-food dishes cooked over a fire pit. Pizza favourite Antica will be firing up its wood oven, serving margherita, salami and parmigiana pizzas. Plus, one slathered in Nutella.

At the Superbanger stall, the team behind La Buvette will be sizzling gourmet beef sausage options in sourdough baguettes (with gluten-free and vegan options available). There’ll also be Nashville-style hot chicken by Flinders Park’s Buk Buk.

For dessert: the city’s favourite Portuguese tarts by Saudade, creamy soft serves (including a Golden Gaytime flavour) by ice-cream van Sunnyside Softy, and coffee by Black Market, who’ll be pouring blends from Victoria’s Mikro Coffee Roasters.

RCC’s Italian restaurant Roberta’s returns this year as Roberta’s Italian Disco Diner, with a salumeria, walk-in wine room and disco tunes – in the piazza-like setting of Cloisters. Book your spot here. Happy Burger is another RCC-run stall, where the team will be flipping Beyond Meat patties to stuff into plant-based burgers.

On the drinks front, there’ll be a Louis Roederer champagne bar, and Cake Wines made in the Adelaide Hills.
