Cellar Door Fest 2019
In case your calendar isn’t full enough this month, Cellar Door Fest returns this weekend bringing some of the state's best wineries, breweries, distilleries and food producers from 17 regions to the CBD. The three-day festival will feature tastings, long-table dining, masterclasses, DIY workshops and more.
Discover your new favourite drop at the Emerging Winemakers Zone, dedicated to the next wave of SA vintners (up and coming wineries that are three years old or younger). Or make a beeline for the “distillery district”, which will feature some of the state’s best craft distillers including 5Nines; Prohibition Liquor Co; Red Hen Gin; Seppeltsfield Road Distillers; 23rd Street Distillery; and Never Never Distilling Co, which was recently judged World’s Best Classic Gin at the World Gin Awards. The Wintulichs Beer Garden will pour a selection of beers and ciders from local breweries such as Vale Brewing and Goodieson Brewery.
This year the festival will pay special attention to eco-friendly producers – those offering certified organic, biodynamic and vegan products. One such sustainability champion, My Grandma Ben’s Jessie Spiby, will offer free cooking demonstrations throughout the weekend at Jessie’s Kitchen.
