Morgan McGlone is bringing his famous fried-chicken sangas to Adelaide next month. There are only 100 for the taking, and you have to order ahead. Run, don’t walk.

Belles Hot Chicken is coming to Adelaide for the first time next month.

Co-founder Morgan McGlone is joining forces with wine importer Andrew Guard and mate Nathan Sasi for a five-course lunch at Sasi’s recently opened Leigh Street Wine Room. Sasi and McGlone previously shuffled pans together at chef Sean Brock’s acclaimed restaurant Husk in South Carolina.

The event is already sold out, but McGlone wants to share a taste of Belles with those who missed out on tickets. He’ll be assembling 100 hot-chicken sandwiches on Sunday, December 8. They’ll be going for $12 apiece, takeaway only (pick-up is at 5pm). You have to order ahead, via this link. And we suggest you hurry.

Belles has been a hit in Melbourne since McGlone and then-business partner Aaron Turner opened the Nashville-inspired fried-chicken joint in Fitzroy in 2014. Turner (who went on to open Igni and Hot Chicken Project) has since been replaced as by Miranda Campbell, but Belles has gone from strength to strength, opening several more locations in Melbourne, and three in Sydney.
