The Art of Banksy: Without Limits
Elusive street artist Banksy has captivated audiences around the world with his thought-provoking and often controversial artwork. Now, a major Banksy exhibition is coming to Adelaide's Myer Centre – following a stop in Brisbane – giving admirers a chance to experience his work up close.
The Art of Banksy: Without Limits, which has already drawn huge crowds from London to Amsterdam and Istanbul, will hit Adelaide on Thursday August 24 before travelling to Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. It showcases more than 150 original works by the artist, including stencils, prints, sculptures and installations.
Visitors to the exhibition will get to see some of Banksy’s most famous works, such as Girl With Balloon, Flower Thrower and Laugh Now, alongside some rarely seen pieces.
Banksy’s work has always been characterised by a sharp sense of social and political justice, using humour and a healthy dose of irony to comment on capitalism, consumerism and the state of the environment.
